CALIFORNIA FAMILY PLEADS FOR HELP FINDING MISSING FAMILY MEMBER...

A California family is asking people across the state to take a moment, look at this photo and help them find someone they love.

Derrick Robert Jackson, 32, has not been heard from by his family in more than a month.

Derrick was last seen leaving the emergency room at Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka on September 12th. The following day, September 13th, he contacted his sister. According to his family, Derrick told her he was homeless and living in the woods in the Yreka area.

That was the last time his family heard from him.

Since that message, friends and family have been unable to reach Derrick or confirm that he is safe.

There is another important piece of information that could make sharing his photo beyond Siskiyou County especially important.

Derrick had previously indicated that he may be making his way toward Colfax, California.

Where he may have gone since then is unknown.

Height: 6'0"

Weight: 165 lbs

Hair: Brown

Eyes: Brown

Last known area: Yreka, California

The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office has an active missing-person case for Derrick under Case #26-1644.
